Michele Bumgarner is a Filipina-American who began racing karts at the age of nine. She is an accomplished kart racer, winning numerous awards and championships in karting. One of the most notable was winning the Rock Island GP, the world's largest street karting race, two years in a row. Moving up to formula cars, Michele continued her winning ways. She has won races in Formula Toyota and Asian Formula3, and also won a Formula BMW scholarship. Michele is competing this year in ProMazda with World Speed Motorsports. Below are photos I took of Michele during the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis weekend.

You can follow Michele on Twitter (@MicheleBum), Facebook (Michele Bungarner Racing), and Instagram (michelebum).

I'd like to thank Shea Holbrook, #SteelOvaryNation, the staff of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and others for making my weekend at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis a memorable one.
