High Point State Park is located in the northwestern part of New Jersey. Within the park is High Point Monument, a 220 foot obelisk which marks the highest elevation in the state at 1,803 feet. The states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania can be seen from the viewing areas around the base of the monument. I was able to spend a few hours in the park during early autumn, right as the leaves were beginning to change color. Hopefully I will be able to return again in the coming weeks when the fall foliage is more colorful. Below are a selection of photos from my visit. I hope you enjoy them.
